Fall Life Cycle of a Pumpkin Craft for Fall Activities

Who doesn't love to teach about pumpkins? You can do so much with pumpkins in the classroom. I wanted to tie a craft in with the life cycle of a pumpkin.

Sequencing cards for the life cycle of a pumpkin are a must to teach young children.

 I combined the two ideas and created this sequencing life cycle of a pumpkin craft. It's a great looking 3-D pumpkin that will look great in your classroom this fall for Halloween and even Thanksgiving too. It will work well for a craft on Halloween day that all parents will approve.

I even added a life cycle of a pumpkin poster to use with this life cycle of a pumpkin lesson.

3-D Water Cycle Craft

Cheers! Let's all have another glass of water. I'm so happy to share that I've come up with a way to make learning about the water cycle fun. I created this 3-D water cycle craft where students color the the printable water cycle sequencing cards. Then they paste them on the cloud template in order.

It's super cute and you hang it from the ceiling in your classroom or homeschool room. You'll be able to use it for reinforcing the water cycle too. Simply turn the water cycle craft around and don't stop at the last step. The continual turning illustrates that the water cycle is a process that repeats itself.  This craft is perfect to reinforce the topics taught during this science lesson and it works well as a science center too.

Plus, I've made this craft extra special for ELL ESL and Spanish Immersion teachers. The graphics don't include label so the kiddos will add their own. Then, I created a water cycle printable poster in English and I have a printable water cycle poster in Spanish too that reads El ciclo aqua.

Fall Life Cycle of an Apple Craft for Fall Activities

It's apple season, and it is the best time of the year to teach about apples. In fact, just last week I got to visit an orchard and sample many varieties of apples. I was quite fond of the honey crisp apple. You can bring apples into your classroom this fall with my 3D apple craft. This apple craftivity looks great and is simple for students to make. This is a super fall apple activity for children.

The best part is that they are learning about the life cycle of an apple as they create it. My apple is red, but go ahead and add a bit of variety of your own and print the apple patterns on red, yellow, and light green paper. Perhaps your students could pick the color of their favorite type of apple.

Life Cycle Bulletin Board

Teaching your students about life cycles can and should be fun! And what a better way to share all that learning fun than to make a life cycle bulletin board for your classroom. I wanted to share this fabulous teacher-created bulletin board that pulls together the chicken life cycle, frog life cycle, ladybug life cycle,  butterfly life cycle and more.

This clever teacher used my 3-D Life Cycle craftivities {Here} to create this bulletin board gem and came up with a clever heading: It's a Wonderful Life ... Cycle.  I love how the ladybug life cycle is in the grass and the sunflower life cycle is there too. We've got the turtle life cycle and the chicken life cycle and even the butterfly life cycle. Then, she added the water life cycle with the clouds at the top. I love teachers. We are one creative group.

Butterfly Life Cycle Craft -- Emerging Butterfly Craft

Life Cycle of a Butterfly: Teach your students the full butterfly life cycle with this creative emerging butterfly craft. 

This life cycle craft illustrates the butterfly as it emerges from the chrysalis. This butterfly craft is a great hands on way to demonstrate the butterfly life cycle that will work for science centers too. Your students will color or paint the black and white printables and use the directions to fold their emerging butterfly. 

I have also included a color version of the craft to use as a teacher's copy or to even use during a classroom lesson on butterfly life cycles. This set also includes full sized butterfly life cycle posters to help you display your butterfly craft. You can use these resources during your butterfly unit too. Frog Life Cycle Craft Chicken Life Cycle Craft Butterfly Life Cycle Craft Oh My!

Spring Activities Craft -- This spring craft is a unique way to display and teach your students about the chicken life cycle, butterfly life cycle, and frog life cycle and their habitats including the countryside, the farm, and the pond. Tie in the wind for the wind sock and you have a great science activity for spring.

Students will create three life cycle wind socks (just add streamers) or a life cycle lantern during your next life cycle science lesson or habitat science lesson. There are additional labels you can add that include the terms for the life cycles. These work well for science centers too or for a science or spring bulletin board.

These are easy to make! Print out the black and white versions and your students color or paint (watercolors work well) the life cycles. The life cycles show four stages for the butterfly, chicken, and frog. The stages used are as follows.

The butterfly life cycle includes the butterfly, eggs, chrysalis, and caterpillar. The background shows the countryside.

The frog life cycle includes the frog, frogspawn, tadpole, and froglet. The background shows a pond.

The chicken life cycle includes a nesting chicken, an egg, and hatching chick, and a chick. The background shows a farm. You can find this life cycle craft {HERE}

Frog and Toad Craft --- Frog and Toad Writing Prompt Craftivity

Frog and Toad Writing Prompt Craftivities..This is a fun way to add a craft to a writing prompt about frogs and toads. There is a craftivity for a frog and a toad in this package. This is a great writing assignment to use when your students are studying the frog life cycle or learning about pond life for a writing/science connection or a science center.

You have lots of options. For the frog and the toad, there is a cover page that includes amphibian's name followed by five different writing prompts. These are prompts that you can print "as is" and the student will decorate/color/paint the frog or toad image and write on the topic.

The prompts for amphibian are as follows:

If a were a Toad (Frog)
All about Toads (Frogs)
T is for Toads/ F is for Frogs
A toad (frog) went on an adventure...
One day at the pond... (one prompt for both)

These same prompts are formatted as write and draw or just a draw prompt. Please see the preview.

Next, you will find the same topics formatted for a page topper. If you choose these prompts, add the frog and toad image and the pond cattails and lily after those prompts. You can will print these page toppers and ask your students to color or paint them.

The last three items for each amphibian are graphic organizers to help with the writing process. Each one has a clustering/web word organizer, a can/have/need chart, and a KWL (Know, Want to Know, Learned) chart. You can find this at my teaching resource store {HERE}.

Are you ready for local Watermelon festivals or even Watermelon Day or are you even studying life cycles in your science unit? Here's the perfect watermelon craft to integrate science and art.

Create a 3-D Watermelon craft when you teach about watermelons, life cycles, or plants during your science units. This craft is perfect to reinforce the topics taught during this science lesson and it works well as a science center too.
