Pi Day Craft - A Math Craft for Pi Day

Pi Day-- This Pi Day Craft is a unique way to display and teach your students about Pi.

You students can create a Pi wind sock (just add streamers or use the Pi medallions) or a standing lantern during your math lesson or as a math center.

There are more ways to use this Pi craft in your math class. The digits of Pi 3.141459265358 go in a spiral around the cylinder. Candy Corn Craft

Candy Corn Counting: Create a Candy corn monster craft this fall or Halloween in your classroom or use this craftivity as a math center to help your students learn to use objects to count from 1-20.

 There are two versions included. For the first version, you will cut the craft out and use colored paper. Use different colored paper for different colors of candy corn math monsters.

 For the second print and go version, print one copy that doesn't require any cutting. I have even included candy corn graphics for you or you can add a bag of candy corn on your own.

Pumpkin Craft: Design a Jack-O-Lantern Cut and Paste Shape Craft

Pumpkin Craft: This simple, one-page printable black and white pumpkin craft lets students design their own jack-o-lanterns. To design the jack-o-lantern, the students color the pumpkin. Then they choose from circles, ovals, triangles, and diamond, and crescent shape to make the face.

Next they cut and paste the face. Then they color around the edges of the shapes to create their very own jack-o-lantern. This craft is a perfect math connection when you are studying pumpkins. Enjoy!

100th Day Activities for the Number 100 with Polar Bears

100th Day of School- This 100 Days of School Activity Pack has many polar bear themed math activities to reinforce learning numbers and counting up to 100.

This unit for the number 100 includes polar bear counting cards up to 100. Here are a few ways to use counting cards.

Use them like flashcards where students call out the number
Let students line them up in order like a train
Use them to practice skip counting where students display how to count by 2's, 3's, 5's, or 10's
Line them up and remove a few numbers and your kiddos guess the missing numbers

The unit also includes a large and small 100's sorting mat and printable counting bears (polar bears, that is) counters for sorting. You can also use this mat to sort different types of snacks or cereal or candy that comes in different colors.

Next, add some more polar bear fun with the color 100 fish activity. You can step things up and ask your students to color each 10 fish in a different color for the 100th day of school.

Printable Fraction Book {Halloween Themed}

This fraction book has been so useful to help the kiddos compare fractions. With Halloween coming up, I realized that a great way to compare fractions is to use the concept of a candy bag. Students can use this fraction book and compare fractions to decide which fraction would be more.

Plus, they learn so much about fractions when they write the fraction on the top of each sheet and then on each strip. To learn more, please go {Here}.
